COMBIGAN® + Xalatan® (n = 94 at month 3)

  • Results at 8 am: 23.7 mm Hg at baseline, 17.3 mm Hg at week 6, 17.0 mm Hg at month 3, -6.7 mm Hg change in mean IOP1

Results from a 3-month, prospective, randomized, multicenter, investigator-masked, parallel-group study of patients with glaucoma or ocular hypertension who required additional IOP lowering. Prior to baseline, patients were washed out of any previous IOP-lowering medications other than Xalatan® and were treated with Xalatan® monotherapy for at least 4 weeks. At baseline, patients with IOP ≥ 21 mm Hg in at least 1 eye were randomized to twice-daily COMBIGAN® (n = 102) or timolol (n = 102) as adjunctive therapy to Xalatan® for 3 months. The primary efficacy outcome measure was peak IOP lowering at month 3. Measurements were taken at baseline, week 6, and month 3 at 8 am and 10 am.
